Mindfulness and Motherhood
in this episode of The Empathic Parent, I'm chatting with Hannah Lowe Corman, a mom and mindful painter.
We dive in to:
What mindfulness is and why it's important.
How Hannah began her mindfulness journey by learning to detach from outcomes at work.
How to bring mindfulness into day-to-day life as a busy parent.
And balancing parenthood, working, and all the thing on your to-do list.
Books mentioned in the episode:
Mindful Motherhood by Cassandra Vieten
How Not to Hate Your Husband by Jancee Dunn

Hannah Lowe Corman is a Mindfulness Painter, using art as a practice of living in the present. Along with teaching yoga and meditation, painting is the third leg of the mindfulness stool on which she tries to balance day to day. Getting lost in the physical dance of painting results in meditative, calming work for her collectors. Hannah is also a full-time mom, practicing mindfulness minute to minute with her young son in New York City.
